Zumba Through The Winter Months

Our winter months in New Zealand, and especially in the Wellington region, can be challenging when trying to stick to any exercise plan. It's cold, wet and the wind will knock you off your feet. With the shorter daylight hours and everyday life priorities, it can be an absolute mission to maintain a fitness routine. Yes, exercise during winter is tough, but it's very important for you to keep up.

Us Kiwis can all feel very proud of the amazing work we put in during our lockdown period to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We did our bit by staying indoors, and for some of our awesome members, continued to take part in our online Zumba classes. You understood how fitness was not only good for the body but equally good for the mind and soul. Now that we can go out, the cold winter nights make the prospect of going out to Zumba challenging. But, the problem with staying inside is that the cold weather plays havoc on our emotions as well. We all feel the winter blues now and then and need to do something to get out of that funk. That's why Zumba is great during winter.

Coming out to a Zumba class during winter not only helps with your physical fitness, but it's also great for the spirt too. We dance, laugh and enjoy each other's company. Zumba classes are a social event too, where we get to see familiar faces and support each other. 

Bring a Friend for a Free Class

Already been to one of our classes? Then share the fun and enjoyment of Zumba during winter by bringing a friend that's not been to one of our Zumba classes, and both you and your friend will have that class FREE. It might be cold outside, but our classes will warm you right up. On a serious note about coming out on a cold night to do Zumba, you do need to take some precautions. Make sure you complete our warm-up and cool down at the end of class and bring something warm to put on when you leave.  It's essential to keep your muscles warm when you go out into the cold.
